This week I:
Sat in the sun and had some 'me' time:
Yes I was painting my nails while reading 'The Beauty Myth' by Naomi Wolf: I have a feeling that may be irony in its highest form.
Went into London.'You sound like you're from Landan' (mega-points for knowing what film that's from):
I had a meeting with a recruitment agent on Tuesday(the job hunt continues...)and afterwards I had a wander around the shops in the glorious sunshine.
I had to visit Liberty to have a stroke of their fabrics as I'm a liberty perv and I also acted like a tourist and took snaps of their beautiful flowers.
I bumped into this 'jean'ius pug (sorry) in Oasis and resisted buying the vintage big cat print skirt in Topshop Oxford Circus. It was so nice but for £48 I had to leave it behind. If anyone knows where I can buy similar fabric so I can D.I.Y my own skirt please let me know!
Ate and baked some spring eats:
I am obsessed with Heston from Waitrose's earl grey hot cross buns (if you hadn't guessed; I love tea!) and they go perfectly with a big mug of earl grey (of course). I also baked some spring inspired cupcakes for Monsieur Squirrel's neighbour who turned 95 on Saturday!
Admired the spring flowers:
I am so lucky that I don't need to go too far to admire all that nature has to offer at the moment. The tulips are in my future mum-in-law's english country garden (I hope one day to have fingers as green as hers!) and there is cherry blossom just everywhere!
I hope everyone's had a lovely week. I did plan on posting all the goodies I've bought recently; but alas I've lost my camera cable so that one will have to wait for the time being. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who reads/follows and comments on my little blog; it means a hell of a lot to me :)
Madame Squirrel.
Ooh, I read about the Heston buns in the Weekend, dying to try!
